Terms &
Conditions.

Clear guidelines for a secure relocation. Our terms establish the institutional foundation for your family’s move, ensuring legal protection and transparency.

Understanding Your Move

By accessing our hub or requesting a quote, you agree to the protocols established below. These terms are engineered to protect your household goods and ensure our fleet operates safely across state borders.

Established in 2008, Premium Moving Services operates as a direct motor carrier with full federal operating authority. We are not a broker. This distinction is critical for your legal protection under the Carmack Amendment. Our terms of service govern every aspect of the relocation journey, from the initial digital audit to the final reassembly of your home.

1. Estimating Protocol

All quotes provided by Premium Moving Services are based on the inventory list provided during the virtual or physical walkthrough. We utilize a Binding “Not-To-Exceed” Estimate model. This ensures that as long as your inventory remains consistent, your final price will not change. If additional items are added on move day, a revised estimate will be issued before loading begins, maintaining absolute financial transparency.

2. Fleet & Equipment Standards

We utilize a dedicated fleet of 26-foot air-ride logistics units. These vehicles are inspected regularly according to FMCSA Safety Standards. By agreeing to our service, you acknowledge that our trucks require legal parking and clearance. It is the responsibility of the household to secure any necessary parking permits or facility access codes prior to our arrival.

Premium Protocol

Binding Fixed Pricing

All environmental factors are included in the binding estimate during the audit process.

Common Terms

Sub-Contracted Responsibility

Brokers move liability to independent drivers, complicating claims and support.

Premium Protocol

Single Chain of Custody

We are the carrier. Our full-time staff handles your move from Seattle to Miami with 100% accountability.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Logistical planning for a cross-country move begins weeks in advance. When a household reserves a date, that unit and crew are siloed for that specific route. To maintain institutional efficiency, we require a 7-day notice for any rescheduling or cancellations. This ensures we can re-route our fleet safely and keep our commitments to other families in transition.

4. Hazardous Materials & Prohibited Items

Safety on the American highway is governed by the U.S. Department of Transportation. We cannot transport flammable, corrosive, or explosive materials. This includes propane tanks, paints, and certain household chemicals. Our moving coordinators provide a full “Prohibited Items List” during your audit to ensure your shipment is compliant and safe for transit.

5. Senior Move Accommodations

For senior relocations and assisted living transitions, we implement a Compassionate Service protocol. This includes direct coordination with facility management to follow their specific move-in hours and noise ordinances. Our staff is trained to handle heirloom assets with specialized shielding to prevent damage during drastic climate changes across state lines.

6. Weather & Force Majeure

Interstate logistics are subject to atmospheric conditions. We utilize real-time data from NOAA to plan routes. While we guarantee delivery windows, we reserve the right to delay dispatch if road conditions (such as winter storms or hurricane fronts) pose a risk to the safety of our crew or your household goods.

Institutional Compliance Notice

Premium Moving Services operates as a professional motor carrier in accordance with all federal statutes. Our arbitration and claims processes are aligned with the standards set by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the FMCSA. We encourage all shippers to review the “Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move” handbook provided during the booking process.

Terms FAQ

Common questions about our agreement

Is my price truly fixed?

Yes. Under our Binding Estimate model, the price provided after your final audit is the fixed price for the relocation of the items listed. We eliminate the “hidden fees” common in the industry by performing a thorough digital walkthrough before any contract is signed.

How do I file a claim for damaged items?

We maintain a 99.2% claims-free rate, but we have a Direct Resolution Protocol for any issues. Claims must be submitted within 9 months of delivery, per federal law. Our dedicated support hub handles these inquiries directly to ensure a fast, fair resolution without third-party brokers.

Who is responsible for packing electronics?

If you select our Full-Service package, we assume all responsibility for the professional shielding of electronics. If you choose our Essential Move level, we recommend using original packaging or our professional-grade anti-static shielding kits to ensure safety during long-haul transits.
